Dr. Mullen
I’m a clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience providing therapy and psychological assessments to children, adolescents, and adults. In my clinical work, I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, attention difficulties, grief, chronic illness, trauma, and life transitions. I’ve been researching and practicing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for over 15 years, and also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based interventions. My therapy approach is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on helping clients move toward meaningful change. You can learn more about my therapy and coaching services here.
I’m also a certified school psychologist, and bring that perspective into my assessment work at Brooklyn Heights Psychology. I conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess learning differences, ADHD, emotional functioning, and cognitive strengths and challenges across the lifespan. My background in both school and clinical psychology allows me to bridge emotional insight with practical application—whether in the classroom, at work, or in daily life. I work closely with families, schools, and other providers to ensure that each evaluation leads to useful, individualized recommendations that support long-term success and well-being.
In addition, I have specialized training in geropsychology, including a postdoctoral fellowship, and provide cognitive evaluations for older adults navigating memory or attention concerns.
